As spring begins, here at EnrichLA we have been very lucky to have developed new partnerships with wonderful organizations.
This year we are partnering with Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation and Angel City FC to completely rebuild the garden at Arroyo Seco Museum Science Magnet. As part of their promotional efforts for National Garden Month in April, Sprouts is funding five “garden refresh” to help revive school gardens in communities that have been hit hard by the pandemic. They chose EnrichLA as one of the organizations to partner with and we could not be more thrilled!
The Arroyo Seco garden refresh is the first time we have built anything new since the pandemic hit. Needless to say, it has been amazing to finally be outside doing what we do best - building gardens! Tomas, our master builder, created beautiful wood garden signs that we placed in the garden.
This garden refresh comes complete with a compost station that students will use once garden classes resume. The garden also have picnic tables, an outdoor sink, and a chalkboard that will be used for learning.
We greatly appreciate the new partnerships we have formed so far this year and we are so excited to continue building and growing!
