Last week, the kids worked on plant anatomy and discussed plant reproduction. It can be hard to conceptualize multiple types of plant reproduction but sometimes we need to ground our lessons in something tangible.
This week, we’re working on apple anatomy. It’s great to break down the parts of an apple and look at the exocarp, endocarp, stem, seeds and everything in between. The best part is getting to draw it all so we can review later – just kidding, the best part is eating an apple and talking about the different parts.
We will be doing this all week, so whether we have Tuesday or Friday classes, we’ll be working on this.
Reminder, get your tasting slips in ASAP because the Fuji apples are so so good.
