Volunteer for a Garden Build or Work Day

IMG_4275“Volunteering with EnrichLA was an exhilarating, exciting, fun, and rewarding experience!  We put in a hard days work, but at the end of that day, we knew that kids coming back to school on Monday would have a beautiful new garden!”

Internship Opportunities

EnrichLA offers a variety of internship opportunities, including, but not limited to, administrative, garden, development, and web design.

Each day has been an exciting new challenge and experience. I have gained an immense amount of knowledge during my time at EnrichLA. I am taking away an interactive and invaluable learning experience that I will be able to apply to any facet I choose to pursue in the future. This opportunity has been very rewarding and has further instilled in me the importance of giving back. I have loved every minute of being part of this team! Thank you Tomas, Shana, Jasmine, and the wonderful team at EnrichLA for creating such a memorable and incredible learning experience.”

Garden interns are paired with one or more Garden Rangers, and get to learn hands-on in the garden teaching kids.  Activities may include leading a garden class, helping with garden maintenance, reaching out to local businesses donations for events, or working with school staff and administration.

Administrative and development interns work out of the Los Feliz office.  They may learn how to write grants, how to coordinate neighborhood council presentations, or how to troubleshoot general office issues.  We try to keep our office internships exciting, and sometimes we send them out into the gardens to experience what our program is like first-hand!IMG_4260

“Interning at EnrichLA was one of the most influential experiences of my life. It allowed me to add to society and do work that I was actually passionate about. There was always something new to learn and even though I was just an intern, I felt that my opinion was valued and that there was a lot expected of me because I was capable of a lot.”  – Janice Choi
