Workday at Weemes

Once again Next Step Ministries has come to the rescue! At Weemes, we really needed some helping hands to spread woodchips, plant trees and bury irrigation tubing. The middle schoolers who participated were fantastic! I enjoyed watching them work together as a team: shoveling mulch in the wheelbarrows, digging holes for the saplings and helping one another with difficult tasks. Within 3.5 hours everything was finished! Really looking forward to what the kids think about their garden when school resumes!
