Giant salad – every green fresh from the garden

The final two weeks of classes at LAUSD  gave students plenty to harvest and eat Рespecially at South Gate Middle School. There were so much put in plates at our large South Gate farm: celery, cabbage, broccoli, lettuce, cilantro, chives, green onions and even a pumpkin.

The first semester of garden classes at South Gate Middle School was a great success as we see smiling young students learn about food sustainability and garden health. Students at SGMS were disappointed to learn that their session for garden classes were over but were still excited to learn that when they come back in the Spring, there will still be plenty to look forward to in their bountiful farm-garden.
