Sensory Sensations in the Garden

The garden beds at Los Feliz Charter School for the Arts are full of variety. The colors and smells are a treat to the senses. Students learn to observe the delicacy of leaves and pinpoint each plant’s uniqueness in the garden. With wide eyes, the children of LFCSA explore the many different fruits, vegetables, flowers, herbs, and native plants. Each week the plants are changing, growing, and smelling more delightful. The students learn the importance of biodiversity. They learn to appreciate more types of foods and how the garden utilizes organic and thoughtful methods.
