Fairies in garden beds
We’re having quite the time trying to keep little prying hands and overly creative minds out of our thriving beds. Many are digging for fairies in the soil and imagining the plants as creatures that need some whacking out of the way.
In hopes of keeping the prying hands at bay and counter this weekly struggle, the 5th graders decided to draw as many posters of plants with signs requesting everyone to leave them alone and display all over the garden.
We might also need a little gate to streamline access and next week while the 5th graders take off for Catalina I’ll introduce the little ones to what really lives in those garden beds, and how much it hurts when they get yanked out.
