Amending soil

After some heavy pruning of huge sunflowers and out of control grape vines, we had plenty to add to the compost. Luckily, we had some already broken down compost to add to the now empty beds. Step 1:clear out the beds for compost addition

Next, we planted our flowers. We then line the irrigation up, and mulch over the newly composted soil to retain moisture and help our little flowers grow!

There is still some corn growing tall, a few sunflowers, tomatoes that we planted a few weeks ago that’re doing well, and of course grapes!
