This week at John Adams students sampled hummus with carrots, chips, and broccoli. They tried three different hummus flavors – traditional, roasted red pepper, and garlic. The outright favorite was roasted red pepper – yum.
After our snack, classes helped transport mulch to the garden aisles and compost to the beds. We had a small crew assist with watering and a plant quality control team scan the beds for any signs of pests, wilting, discoloration, etc. Go teams!
Some classes also created seed pots from newspaper. Students planted a variety of flowers seeds in their pot and will take them home. With tender, love, and care (plus water, sunshine, air, and nutrients), students will see their plants through the life-cycle.
