This week at John Adams students created seed bombs. Traditionally, seed bombs are made with clay. However students made them with wet newspaper scraps and flowers seeds ranging from sunflowers to nasturtiums. They each took one seed bomb home and donated another for the Kaiser Permanente Health Fair next week.
Some classes also made bouquets for Mother Day’s. Many students were celebrating Hispanic Mother’s Day the same day as class.
Lastly, we celebrated our good work with a snack. Students helped create a yummy shredded carrot salad complete with radishes, raisins, cilantro, salt, pepper, oil, paprika, and cinnamon. Delish!
