Rainy Days Mean New Life at Hollenbeck

As students prepare for a new semester of gardening at Hollenbeck, we start by brainstorming what we would like to learn. While we will continue our regular lessons and cooking demos, this semester we will set aside a little time each week to work together finding answers to questions the students come up with.

We will also be very busy repleanishing the soil with new compost and planting new seeds to replace last semesters crops. Today, the rain prevented us from doing too much, but we can already see how it is helping our fruits and veggies grow. Because of all the new growth, we each got a sour orange to eat!
