This week at Glenfeliz, we learned about soil and prepared garden beds for planting! Students had a lot of fun digging with their tools and getting their hands dirty.
The Glenfeliz garden received a generous donation of cool season seedlings from The Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention program. We received chard, cauliflower, cabbage, spinach, and thyme seedlings. Thank you NEOP!
Here are the thyme seedlings.
Check out the cauliflower seedlings!
More Granny Smith apples are on their way.
This giant gourd leave is just so beautiful.
Ranger Ashley thinned out the radish sprouts.
Can you spy the camouflaged grasshopper hiding in the basil?
Here’s another camouflaged insect. Great job praying mantis!
Happy gardening and healthy eating,
