Students learned that different colored fruits and vegetables contain different nutrients. They work best when eaten together and a colorful diet will help paint a healthy existence. After naming several foods from each color category the students were able to see what colors were growing in their garden; whether it was mounding white potatoes or observing green cabbage sprouts, nutrition was the focus.
