Borage, chard, and succuluents

Today was a great day at Eagle Rock High School.  We made succulent cuttings as Mother’s Day gifts for the students to take home.  We observed the beautiful, edible flower known as borage.  The bees love to eat the nectar from the flowers.  For a snack we had fried garlic and chard stems, fresh from the garden!

I love gardening because I love good food and being outside.  The most delicous food is the food you grow yourself, and the best times in life are spent in nature.
