1st day of Wednesday Garden classes!

On March 15, Delevan started their make-up session of garden classes on Wednesdays. Which means one set of classes on Wednesdays, and another set of classes of our typical Thursday classes. We first talked about the rules we should always follow in the garden like, “Respect all living things” , and introduced ourselves to each other. Each class had the chance to explore the garden, we stayed in a group and either touched, smelled or looked at what is currently growing at the garden. Some of the classes had a chance to pick up pine cones and pine needles that were still laying around from the fallen tree. Our 4th grade class had the chance to plant some “Fragrant Peas” that produce some beautiful colored flowers, can’t wait to see those! We ended with a treat of Swiss Chard and tajin!
