It’s a new semester at The Accelerated Schools, and the rain showers that occurred throughout the winter break has really accelerated the growth of the garden – as well as weeds! Two most common weeds present are: cheeseweed and stinging ivy. My favorite of the two is neither, but if I really had to choose, I would choose the stinging ivy. Known for its stinging sensation when you brush up against its hairs, stinging ivy can actually be used in a tea and is known for its help benefits (that’s if you can get past the stinging part!)
Here is a picture of a whole forest of cheeseweed.
