Colorful, Tasty Garden Snacks at 6th Ave

For this session’s last class at 6th Ave, students were able to make their own snacks. It was incredibly rewarding to see all the students clamoring to get their serving of kale, chard amd mistard greens with nothing but lime for seasoning – and then they came back for seconds!  While students are always learning their basic science and english skills in the garden, one of the most important lessons is a much less formal appreciation for the diverseworld of flavors found in fresh fruits and vegetables.
