There must have been a bug convention at Main Street Elementary last week, because everywhere we looked, we discovered a new critter!
It was a great way to discuss how each of these bugs contribute or hurt our garden. As we discovered which bugs were good for our garden, we replaced them in the soil or on the leaves of our plants. These buggies got to stay:
We also discovered several Roly-poly bugs, also known as Sow Bugs. While they don’t eat our plants, Sow Bugs an be very useful in our compost bin, because they feed on decaying plants!
Unfortunately, one unruly guest was kindly asked to leave.
